Book Review: The Uninhabitable Earth
I suppose an appropriate way of starting this would be to say - climate change scares me. I have a constant low-level stress in my mind, some might call this eco-anxiety, about just how bad things are. Depending on the day, I can flit between feelings of helplessness and almost despair to optimism and empowerment. Even still, so much about climate change feels out of my control. How can I, a regular individual working a 9-5, make any difference?
The Ocean and Us
Water has value. We see it with expensive sea front properties, with sought-after beachside holidays, and with thriving coastal towns. But most of all we feel it.
Why is it as land-roaming humans we feel so connected to the water? The answer is much deeper than its luxury status, in fact, science shows it’s deep into our very beings.
What is Ghost Gear?
People power works, but unless this is channelled into the right avenues are we simply trying to mop up a constant flow of plastic?
